2018
Our Beginning
Calvary Christian Center of Pasadena was founded in 2018 by Pastor John Deron Johnson, First Lady Kimberly Johnson, and a faithful congregation with a shared vision to build a Christ-centered church rooted in God’s Word, healing, and love.

On Sunday, August 19, 2018, we gathered under the pergola at La Pintoresca Park in Pasadena, California, for our very first service. With open hearts, Pastor Johnson spoke words of faith and hope for the future God had already prepared, and the choir lifted their voices in a cappella praise. From that humble beginning, God has faithfully grown our church family and continues to move in mighty ways.

Our mission is to lead people to glorify God, strengthen faith, restore lives, and build a Christ-centered family rooted in His Word and love.
What We Believe
We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God — our Savior, Healer, and Lord. Through His life, teachings, sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection, He reconciled humanity to God, overcame sin, conquered death, and secured eternal salvation for all who believe.
